SPOILER ALERT: This post contains details on The Voice Season 26, Episode 17, which aired on Tuesday, November 26.
It was an emotional night on The Voice as Sloane Simon took the stage to perform Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe” during the playoffs stage of the competition.
On the latest episode of the singing competition, Simon revealed her dad had recently died, which brought the coaches to tears. “I know how brave you are,” Michael Bublé told Simon after her performance. “I know you and your family are going through stuff.
You just lost your dad.” Bublé continued, “You said that you would stay because he would’ve wanted you to be here.” The teary-eyed singer said that her dad told her she would be “crazy to turn back,” so she dedicated her performance to him as she “sang for him.” Snoop Dogg got up from his chair, saying, “The spirit of your father is telling me to give you a hug right now,” and adding, “I’m so proud of you right now.” Cameras also captured Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani holding back their tears as they saw Simon on stage.
