Kintija Ziedone is a hard worker. She’s a waitress and housekeeper at The Alan hotel, on Princess Street. The 22-year-old, originally from Latvia, is certain that her sacrifices will be worth it, though, because she’s saving up for a big move.
Not content with swapping the Baltic Sea for the Irish Sea when she was a teenager by moving to Southport, she wants to go one further.
The next move, she hopes, is to go to the Tasman Sea and set up in Australia. But to do that, Kintija needs to save £1,300 at least to apply for British citizenship, so she can then apply for an Australian visa.
