A Scottish town has been called the "most horrible place to live" in the country.Scotland is home to a wide variety of picturesque villages and charming towns.

However, some destinations have a less-than-stellar reputation amongst visitors. One of these is Cumbernauld in North Lanarkshire, situated just over 10 miles out of Glasgow.

The new town was called "ugly" by a Reddit user posting on the website's 'UrbanHell' community.Mistakenly referring to the town as 'Cumberland', they wrote wrote: "The whole town (around 50,000 population) is like this.

It's truly horrible, seriously look at it on Google Maps and you'll see. "It also has no high street and no shops, just an ugly shopping centre full of chains set to be demolished anyway.
