UPDATED, 7:45 AM: Ahead of its premiere tonight at SXSW, Apple TV+ and Lionsgate has released the latest trailer for The Studio, it’s upcoming half-hour comedy series which stars Seth Rogen as the new head of a movie studio who desperately wants to keep the future of movies alive. “Being the head of Continental is the only job I’ve ever wanted,” says Rogen’s Matt. “I got into all this, because, you know I love movies, but now I have this fear that my job is to ruin them.” In addition to Rogen, Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz and Chase Sui Wonders also star, with Bryan Cranston guest starring.
Check out the trailer above. PREVIOUSLY, November 19: Apple TV+ has set the premiere date for its new 10-episode half-hour comedy series The Studio for March 26.
Two episodes will be released for premiere and one episode every Wednesday through May 21, will follow. In The Studio, Seth Rogen stars as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of embattled Continental Studios.
As movies struggle to stay alive and relevant, Matt and his core team of infighting executives battle their own insecurities as they wrangle narcissistic artists and craven corporate overlords in the ever-elusive pursuit of making great films.
