The Simpsons fans have been left heartbroken after a star who voiced a staggering six characters announced their retirement.Pamela Hayden is due to leave the cast of the classic cartoon after almost 700 episodes, but added that the characters she voiced will "always have a special place in my heart." The 70-year-old will appear in the animation for the last time during its 36th season.
Hayden voiced a number of much-loved characters, from Bart Simpson's best friend Milhouse Van Houten to school bully Jimbo Jones and Ned Flanders' children Rod and Todd.
She also provided the voice of Lisa's friend Janey Powell.
