Queen Elizabeth II, Britain's longest reigning monarch, sadly passed away on 8 September at the age of 96, and her cause of death has now been confirmed as old age, with no other contributing factors.
The late monarch died peacefully at Balmoral Castle earlier this month with members of her family her side. Her Majesty's funeral took place on 19 September at Westminster Abbey and she has now been buried at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
On the afternoon of 8 September, Buckingham Palace released a statement saying that doctors had grown concerned for the Queen's health and she had been placed under medical supervision.
Shortly after, reports broke that her eldest son Charles, 73, and his son Prince William, 40, had cleared their diaries in order to dash to Her Majesty's Aberdeenshire home.
