The Queen’s cousin has been jailed after being convicted for assaulting a sleeping woman during a stay at his Scottish Estate.
Simon Bowes-Lyon, 34, was sentenced to 10 months behind bars after the attack which took place at Glamis Castle in Angus. The woman in question shared how Simon had repeatedly groped at her breast and pushed her onto the bed and up against a wall before trying to pull her nightdress up.
She eventually managed to get him out of her room. The aristocrat, who is a second cousin of the Queen, pleaded guilty to the assault and has spoken of how ‘ashamed’ he is of his actions that night.
