Passengers on board a flight that made an emergency landing in Manchester have told of the moment the pilot urged them 'not to be alarmed'.
The Jet2 flight, from Malaga, requested a priority landing due to a 'fault' indication with the aircraft. Fire crews met the plane on the runway after it landed on Wednesday afternoon (August 14).
Pictures taken after landing show a number of airport fire service vehicles circling the aircraft, before it was later deemed safe for passengers to disembark. One passenger, who asked to remain anonymous, said: "The pilot was extremely calm and told us that there was a technical issue and that he had asked for external help when we got to the airport and not to be alarmed if we saw flashing lights. "It was quite nerve-racking but the staff seemed very calm.
