Joe Otterson TV Reporter “The Penguin” continued its streak of viewership growth the finale episode on Sunday night. Per HBO, the final episode of the “The Batman” spinoff series pulled in 2.1 million viewers across all platforms, marking yet another series high for viewership.
Sunday’s viewership figure is up approximately 50% from Episode 1 of the series. The first episode has now pulled in nearly 17 million viewers since it debuted on Sept.
19. The show remains the most-watched current HBO or Max title debut season globally behind only “House of the Dragon” and “The Last of Us.” Colin Farrell reprises his role from “The Batman” in the series, once again playing Gotham City gangster Oswald “Oz” Cobb.
The series picks up in the days after the events of “The Batman,” with Oz seeking to seize control of the Gotham underworld in the power vacuum created by the death of his former boss, Carmine Falcone.
