The last thing any driver wants when they return to their car is to be met with a parking ticket stuck to the windscreen. But one expert says that drivers can throw some tickets 'straight in the bin'.
Which? reporter Lucia Ariano said motorists can appeal a parking ticket if signs are unclear, if the charge exceeds £100, or if there is a mitigating reason such as ill health, or if your car broke down.
In a post online, reported by the Echo, she explained that if the parking company which issued the ticket is not a member of an accredited trading association - either the British Parking Association or the Independent Parking Committee - drivers can ignore the fine.
