Variety writes that the 94th Academy Awards drew 16.6 million viewers on Sunday (March 27), up 58% from 2021′s record-low audience of 10.5 million. Despite the impressive growth, the 2022 Oscars remain the second-worst in terms of viewership and ratings performance in the history of the show.
The Oscars were hosted by Amy Schumer, Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall and featured a star-studded list of celebrity presenters.
