‘The Night Agent’ Action-Packed Trailer Reveals Season 2 Threat As Series Moves To New York
deadline.comNewly minted Night Action agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) gets plenty of action in the trailer for Season 2 of Netflix hit drama series The Night Agent, which also has released new photos.
He is running, jumping into a river, shooting and engaging in hand-to-hand combat in the action-packed trailer that features two more familiar faces, cyber security expert Rose Larkin (Luciane Buchanan), Peter’s charge in Season 1 who is back by his side, as well as Kari Matchett as President Michelle Travers whose life the duo saved last season.
The trailer introduces new Season 2 heroes and villains, most notably Peter’s new Night Action boss Catherine Weaver, played by Amanda Warren.
It also showcases the Season 2 locations, New York, where most of Season 2 was shot, and Thailand, and introduces the big threat in the new installment. “We have a mole selling leaked American intelligence to the highest bidder, and last night someone stole enough epoedimental weapons to wipe out Manhattan,” Peter says in the trailer, which proclaims that “The fate of the nation relies on one man.” That is backed up by a clip, in which a determined Peter tells Catherine as she points a gun at him, “I’m doing this myself.
