It’s usually Prince Louis that gets up to no good - to the chagrin of his parents - during official public appearances, but this moment shows Princess Charlotte isn’t always unflappable. The eight year old has often been seen keeping her brothers’ behaviour in check, but at an outing in 2019 she proved to be a bit of a handful for her parents herself. The then four year old Princess, who it's been speculated may ditch her title in adulthood, attended a sailing regatta on the Isle of Wight with her parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and her grandparents Carole and Michael Middleton.
Mum Kate Middldeton was joined by her daughter as she waved from a window to the waiting crowds outside, but Charlotte seemed less than impressed with the task.
Rather than following her mum’s lead, the cheeky Princess opted to stick her tongue out at the spectators, leaving mum Kate a little red faced. The former Duchess of Cambridge leaned over to whisper something in her daughter’s ear, before guiding her daughter away from the window.
It was a surprising break from Princess Charlotte’s normally impeccable behaviour, but it wasn’t the last time Kate was spotted grappling with her adorable children in public.
