Kate Middleton had a bigger hand in the response to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle claims about the comments over their son Archie‘s skin color.
If you recall, in 2021, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat down with Oprah Winfrey for an eye-opening interview, which had not only royalists and fans, but also Buckingham Palace buzzing.
There were a ton of things that Harry and Meghan revealed about being senior working royals in “The Firm”, and one of the biggest was the insinuation that one of the other senior royals questioned just how “dark” Archie‘s skin would be.
Buckingham Palace did release an official statement, and a new book says that Kate, who is now Catherine, Princess of Wales, was the one who insisted on including the “recollections may vary” line. Keep reading to find out more… In a new addition of “Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown” by Valentine Low, it suggests that Kate was the one who urged the statement to include that line. Valentine says, in an excerpt obtained by The Times, that there was a previous version that was “milder”. “The debate was, do you rise entirely above it and offer the olive branch of [Harry and Meghan being] ‘much-loved members of the family’?
