‘The Masked Singer’ Plans ‘Shrek,’ ‘Ghostbusters’ and Rat Pack Tribute Nights for Season 13 (EXCLUSIVE)

Michael Schneider Variety Editor at Large As “The Masked Singer” returns next month for Season 13, the show has revealed some of its weekly theme nights — paying tribute to franchises including “Shrek” and “Ghostbusters,” as well as the Grand Ole Opry as it hits its 100th anniversary.

Also on tap are a tribute to the Rat Pack, as well as themes including “Voices of Olympus: Unmasking the Gods,” “Carnival,” “Boy Bands,” “Decades” and the return of “Soundtrack of My Life.” Other themes include a “Lucky 6 Speed Guessing” episode, while the semi finals episode will be a “Clash of the Masks.” Scroll down for a first look at this season.

Returing for Season 13, which bows Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox, are panelists Ken Jeong, Rita Ora, Robin Thicke and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg.

Nick Cannon returns as host. The theme that night will be “Lucky 13.” New this season, a mysterious masked character dubbed “Detective Lucky Duck” will appear throughout the season to give clues and help the panelists “quack” the case of who’s under the masks.
