He was just 21. A gunman fired 17 bullets from a sub-machine gun at Junaid as he walked back to his car near the Block Lane surgery in Chadderton shortly after he met up with friends and his then girlfriend.
As he lay on the ground, Junaid was shot again at close range with an automatic weapon. Despite a criminal trial, nobody has ever been convicted over his death.
To mark the 15th anniversary of his killing, his devastated family have spoken out, saying they 'yearn' for his presence - and for justice.
