‘The Madness’ Trailer: Colman Domingo Is Accused Of Killing A White Supremacist In Netflix Thriller
deadline.comIn his latest series, Colman Domingo plays a very public figure on the run for a crime he didn’t commit. On Thursday, Netflix released the trailer for the Stephen Belber-created conspiracy thriller series The Madness, all eight episodes premiering Nov.
28 on the streamer, starring the Academy Award nominee stars as political consultant-turned-TV pundit Muncie Daniels. “I think I’m getting framed for murder,” he says in the trailer, which shows Muncie discovering a dead body before two masked gunmen chase him through the woods.
Following his work on CNN, Muncie is quickly recognized by strangers in hospital waiting rooms and the streets of New York City, with one nefarious group showing up outside his home. “They’re going after my family,” he tells Bradley Whitford in one scene. “So I need you to extract me from the equation.” The Madness follows Muncie on a work sabbatical in the Poconos to write the great American novel, where he finds himself the only witness to the murder of a well-known white supremacist.
Now, he’s being framed for the crime. Muncie is forced to go on the run in a desperate fight to clear his name and unravel a global conspiracy before time runs out.
