From the moment Jay Slater's disappearance on June 17 first hit the headlines, there were huge questions around why the 19-year-old Lancashire lad had ended up so far from the hustle of Playa de las Americas.
Some clues have since been pieced together. Two men invited apprentice bricklayer Jay back to an Airbnb called Casa Abuela Tina, near the tiny village of Masca, following an NRG Festival rave at the Papagayo nightclub.
One of those men was convicted drug dealer Ayub Qassim, 31, who says he knows Jay 'through friends' and let him stay after 'his friends had all left him'.
