Bolton now has the highest infection rate in Greater Manchester, overtaking Manchester. The borough recorded a rate of 47.3 cases per 100,000 people in the week ending April 24, the latest Public Health England (PHE) data shows.
Wigan still has the lowest infection rate with 23.1 cases per 100,000 people. In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 34.6 cases per 100,000 population.
