Linkin Park is set to release Lost, a previously-unheard track that features the vocals of late singer Chester Bennington, who tragically died in a suicide at 41 on July 20, 2017.The band on Monday took to social media to promote the Friday release of the single in an 18-second clip of a person in a gas mask spray painting the lens of the camera.
The words 'New Linkin Park Music' flashed on the screen at the conclusion of the clip.The release of the unearthed song comes in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the group's 2003 record Meteora, which featured singles such as Numb, Somewhere I Belong, Faint and Breaking the Habit.Linkin Park has remained inactive since an October 2017 tribute concert called Linkin Park and Friends: Celebrate Life in Honor of Chester Bennington, that drew more than 17,000 people to the Hollywood Bowl.

The late singer was pictured five months before his death, in NYC on February 21, 2017 Linkin Park co-founder Mike Shinoda last year said that he remained in contact with his bandmates.'The only Linkin Park news I have for you is that… yeah, we talk every few weeks - I talk to the guys, or some of the guys,' Shinoda, 45, said in an April 2022 stream on Twitch that was featured on a fan page for the band.
