28 Days Later writer Alex Garland has said that The Last Of Us was “better” than his film, in a conversation with its creator Neil Druckmann.The second season of the post-apocalyptic show is arriving on April 13, with Druckmann serving as show runner, having co-created the game it is based on.

He has spoken previously about the influence of 28 Days Later on the PlayStation hit, and as Garland returns for sequel 28 Years Later he has offered his own compliment.In an episode of Sony’s Creator To Creator series, Garland told Druckmann: “Let me say this: The Last of Us is better than 28 Days (Later)… or at least the writing is.
