Katcy Stephan “The Housemaid,” a film adaptation of author Freida McFadden’s hit psychological thriller book, has landed a Christmas Day 2025 release from Lionsgate.

Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, Brandon Sklenar and Michele Morrone star in the film written by Rebecca Sonnenshine and directed by Paul Feig.

Feig, Todd Lieberman, Carly Kleinbart Elter and Laura Fischer produce. Sweeney, Seyfried, McFadden and Alex Young are executive producers.

In “The Housemaid,” Millie (Sydney Sweeney) is a struggling young woman who is relieved to get a fresh start as a housemaid to Nina (Amanda Seyfried) and Andrew (Brandon Sklenar), an upscale, wealthy couple.
