The future of Stretford is set to be decided, with council bosses reaching out to the public. The ‘Future Stretford’ research is being carried out by consultancy firm Arup on behalf of Trafford council.

The aim is to make the town ‘a viable, sustainable and dynamic place’ that meets the needs of residents and businesses. It will take place against the backdrop of the £50m scheme to transform Stretford Mall into a vibrant shopping and leisure destination.

It will also look further afield to the wider residential areas, including Gorse Hill, Longford, Lostock, Humphrey Park, Streford Meadows and Turn Moss.

A public consultation has been launched seeking views on the present situation and is asking what a future Stretford and neighbouring communities should look like. Try MEN Premium now with our amazing New Year offer...
