Adapted from Chris Bohjalian's best-selling novel of the same name, the miniseries quickly draws the viewer in as Cuoco works a flight to Bangkok and meets an attractive businessman, Alex Sokolov (Michiel Huisman), whom she chats with throughout the flight.
