‘The Diplomat’ Season 2 Gets Netflix Release Date; Keri Russell Appears Somber In First Look Photos

deadline.comThe Diplomat is returning to Netflix just in time for the upcoming presidential election. The streamer announced Thursday that Season 2 will debut on October 31.
Along with the premiere date, two first look photos of star Keri Russell were also released. Neither of the photos give much intel as to what will go down in Season 2, though they both give off a fairly somber tone.
Without giving away any spoilers for Season 1, this would make sense given where the audiences leave Russell’s Kate Wyler in the finale.
See one of the photos above. The other is embedded below. In addition to Russell, Season 2 will see the return of stars Rufus Sewell, David Gyasi, Ali Ahn, Rory Kinnear, and Ato Essandoh.
