Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
Netflix is teasing a first look at The Crown Season 5! The streamer just released a set of images from the fifth season of the hit royal drama series, featuring an all-new cast, which is set to be released on November 9.
The stills include our first look at Princess Diana played by Elizabeth Debicki, who is taking over from Emma Corrin in the previous season. Prince Charles is played by Dominic West, replacing Josh O’Connor from seasons 3 and 4, and his mistress Camilla Parker Bowles is played by Olivia Williams, who steps in for Emerald Fennell.
Their young sons Prince William (Timothee Sambor) and Prince Harry (Teddy Hawley) are also included in the sneak peek.
If you didn’t know, the cast of The Crown is replaced every two seasons to mark the passing of time. Each season covers about one decade of the royal family’s life.
