‘The Conners’: Major Cast Member Exiting As Series Regular Ahead Of Season 6
deadline.comThe Conners will be without a familiar face in Season 6. Jayden Rey, who has played DJ’s daughter Mary since the launch of the Roseanne revival, will not be returning as a series regular in the upcoming season, sources confirm to Deadline.
Her departure follows the exit last season of her TV dad, played by Michael Fishman, who was written out of the show ahead of Season 5, but Rey remained a series regular.
DJ’s wife Geena Willams Conner was written out of the show when Maya Lynne Robinson exited after Season 1. While Rey won’t be returning as a series regular, we hear the door remains open for possible guest appearances.
ABC would not comment. Per the official synopsis: The Conners continue to face the daily struggles of life in Lanford. This iconic family — Dan, Jackie, Darlene and Becky — grapples with parenthood, dating, financial pressures and aging in working-class America.
