At least four shots were aimed at a silver Astra which then crashed into a lamppost. Police have now established the two vehicles were in pursuit from Miles Platting into the city centre before shots were fired.The Mondeo was found abandoned in Blackstone Walk, Harpurhey, on March 1st.It was stolen from Rochdale Road, Milnrow, on the morning of February 24th and police are appealing for information about its whereabouts in the three days up to the shooting.
