EXCLUSIVE: Amazon and Sony Television’s Vought Rising, a prequel of The Boys, has cast Elizabeth Posey (Euphoria, Heels) in a leading and undisclosed role.

She joins Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, stars and executive producers, who will reprise their original The Boys roles of Soldier Boy and Stormfront, respectively.

Vought Rising was ordered to series by Prime Video last summer with mothership series executive producer Paul Grellong set as showrunner of the one-hour drama offshoot from franchise developer Eric Kripke.

Kripke and Grellong revealed at the time that the prequel is “a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought.” Ackles’ Soldier Boy and Aya Cash’s Stormfront have similar origin stories.
