We’re a few days into 2024, which means many of us will already be starting to question our new year’s resolutions. But following the excesses of the festive season, a lot of us look to make changes to our diets, whether it’s cutting back on - or abstaining from - meat for Veganuary, or even giving Dry January a go.

As the name suggests, this annual ritual sees tens of thousands of people avoiding alcohol for the entirety of January. And it makes sense when you consider the benefits, which range from improved mood and sleep to losing weight and lowering blood pressure.

It can be quite challenging to give up booze after an extended period of socialising, but fortunately a number of Manchester’s best bars and pubs are rolling out the alcohol-free carpet this month, serving up everything from signature mocktails, to low- and no-alcohol beers, and even non-alcoholic wine flights - so you know that even when temptation comes calling, there's plenty of alternatives all across the city and beyond. Love From was created by podcast host Karl Considine and debuted with a pop-up space within the city's Kampus' bungalow on Aytoun Street for ten days in October.
