If you’re stuck for what to do over the Easter bank holiday weekend then a road trip might just be the answer. Luckily for us the best place for a road trip in the UK is within easy reach of Greater Manchester.
The Lake District has been named the UK’s favourite Easter road trip, according to new research. The National park beat the likes of Snake Pass, The Cotswolds and the Pembrokeshire Coast 200 to nab the number one spot.
With roads weaving past dramatic fells, through hair-raising passes and around stunning lakes, it’s easy to see why the Lake District is a favourite when it comes to enjoying a ride out in the car.
Fuel brand JET surveyed 2,000 drivers to find the best UK road trips, and nearly a third (28 per cent) named the Lake District as the best. Read more: The best spring walks in and around Greater Manchester The Yorkshire Dales came in second place, with 19per cent of drivers preferring it.
