All parties have their sights firmly set on Tory strong-hold seats in Hale on May 6. Hale Central ward, created in 2004, has been Conservative since its inception.
The same goes for Hale Barns ward, created in the same year. Before that, the former Hale ward was Conservative for 48 years, since 1973.
But the Liberal Democrats, Greens and Labour all say they’re sensing an appetite for a changing of the old guard while out campaigning in the area this year.
