The 1975 star Matty Healy used a day off rocking out arenas with his band to support his actress mum Denise Welch who is also performing on stage here in Manchester this weekend.
Denise is starring in the world premiere production of The Gap at the acclaimed Hope Mill Theatre in Ancoats. Matty will be playing in front of adoring crowds of thousands at the AO Arena across two sold out shows on Saturday and Sunday night.
But on Thursday he headed to the rather more intimate setting of Hope Mill to cheer on his mum and her co-star Matthew Kelly in the new Jim Cartwright play.
Matty was joined by his American girlfriend Gabbriette Bechtel, who is the lead singer of punk band Nasty Cherry. And making it a true family affair, Matty was joined by his brother Louis too at the theatre. Try MEN Premium now for FREE...
