The 1975 are going on an indefinite hiatus. Matty Healy made the announcement in front of the crowd at their Sacramento, Calif.

show on Tuesday (September 26). “We love coming to this place and playing for you guys whenever we have the chance, and it’s wonderful you’re all here,” he said, via Pitchfork. “After this tour we will be going on an indefinite hiatus of shows so it’s wonderful to have you guys with us tonight,” he continued.

The tour dates run through a Seattle gig on December 2. It is unclear if the band is planning on taking a break from touring or pausing entirely, and a rep did not return a request for comment to Rolling Stone.

Last month, it was revealed that the band was being sued by Malaysia’s Good Vibes Festival organizers after Matty kissed bandmate Ross on stage, as a protest to the country’s anti-LGBTQ laws.
