Thomas Thornton is today starting five-and-a-half years in prison after admitting offences of robbery, fraud and affray at Manchester Crown Court.
The 35-year-old is a career criminal who committed his first robbery aged just 11 and now has more than 140 offences on his record.
The court heard how he was last convicted of robbery in 2010 when he stole a car by biting his victim's hand to get the keys.
