A man arrested yesterday in Manchester in connection with the Texas Synagogue attack remains in custody, police have confirmed.
Counter terrorism police arrested the man yesterday (January 20) morning in connection with the siege last Saturday (January 15).
Officers have this evening confirmed they have been granted an 'extension of custody' in order to question this man and another who was arrested in Birmingham.
A GMP spokesman said in an update: "Officers from Counter Terrorism Police North West are continuing with their investigation following the events in Texas, they are working closely with and are supporting US law enforcement.
