Tess Daly has been part of the Strictly line-up for an impressive 20 years so she's no stranger to the sometimes manic world of live telly.
But in an interview about everything she's learnt on the BBC dance series, she revealed there's one thing she's not allowed to do, despite her being a presenting pro.
In a chat with Elle magazine, the mum of the two, who is married to radio host Vernon Kay, claimed she's not allowed to go anywhere near a glass of water for two hours before the camera rolls for the live Saturday night shows because she's not able to take a break during filming to go to the bathroom. "I can't drink any water for two hours before the show," she said. "As we are live, there is just not enough time to get to the loo." She also revealed that the only time she was allowed to break the rule was when she was pregnant with her daughters, 20-year-old Phoebe and 14-year-old Amber, adding: "Oh no, that wouldn't have been possible.
I was allowed to go then!".Tess has been one of the main faces on the Saturday night shows for the last 20 years, but was familiar with working in front of the cameras long before then.
