Shocking footage shows water pouring into a street in Rochdale after a water main between a row of houses and the M62 burst in the early hours of Monday morning.
Torrents of water can be seen flowing into the road, which became a small lake until engineers arrived and were able to drain it.
The water roared between houses on the street, gushing between fence posts and running into the road. The M.E.N. understands that people living in houses directly impacted by the flooding have been placed in temporary accommodation.
A pipe located between a row of houses and the M62 burst, causing water to build up behind the houses. This overflowed through the gardens and down into the street where it began collecting in a large pool at around 6am on Monday.
