A group of terrified residents say they are scared of 'abusive' parents dropping their children off at school. The homeowners have now welcomed a parking permit scheme which now prevents the school run chaos, reports Stoke-on-Trent Live.

The residents of Harrowby Road in Stoke-on-Trent insist that the permit due to the nuisance caused by parents. They say that adults taking and collecting their children from Sandon Primary Academy park outside their homes and block their driveways. The group of people also claim that they have been subjected to angry parents giving them abuse if they complain.

A number of them have welcomed Stoke-on-Trent City council introducing parking permits to the area. Elsie Kendall said: "The permits are needed because of the school.

You can't park if you come home because there are cars all the way up the street and there are not supposed to be."I think the permits will make a difference.
