Terminally ill man vows to live stream his death in right-to-die protest

A man denied the right to end his life says he expects to die next week - and will live stream his death on Facebook. Frenchman Alain Cocq will broadcast his final moments in an apparent protest at the French Government.

The in-pain 57-year-old suffers from a rare condition where the walls of the arteries stick together. President Emmanuel Macron refused his request for euthanasia because it remains prohibited in France.

The dying man has been bedbound in Dijon for years and feels the time is right to end his life. He has argued for some time that he should be able to die when he is ready - but has been told assisted death remains illegal.
