Terminally ill dad gets final wish of cuddling new baby as daughter delivered early

A terminally-ill dad has fulfilled his wish of holding his newborn daughter - after she was delivered early so he could see her.

Jamie Hunter, 38, has incurable cancer and feared he would not get to meet his child. But he and partner Beccy Flint were able to bring the baby's birth forward to Monday, meaning Jamie could hold her, Birmingham Live reports.

Harper May Hunter was born on Monday May 11, making her very proud dad's wish come true. Family friend Phil Taylor said: "It went well and they've asked to be left alone so they can enjoy their precious time together now."
