Buckingham Palace has reportedly received “tens of thousands” of get well soon cards for the Princes of Wales after it was revealed that she had been diagnosed with a form of cancer.
Back in March, Kate Middleton opened up in an emotional video where she shared news of her cancer diagnosis and explained that she would be beginning preventative chemotherapy as she requested that the public give her “time, space and privacy”. “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous.The surgery was successful.
However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present,” she explained in the clip. And now, according to the Daily Mail, the palace has received thousands of cards and gifts for the 42 year old as well-wishers send their love and support to the royal - something that is alleged to have left the palace’s correspondence team “so touched”.
Despite the influx of cards, the publication reports that staff will try to make their way through the correspondence and reply to all messages that have been sent their way.
