In a surprising turn of events, tennis sensation Jannik Sinner, currently ranked World No. 1, has agreed to a three-month suspension following a settlement with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
The suspension, effective from February 9 to May 4, 2025, comes after the 23-year-old Italian tested positive for the banned anabolic steroid clostebol in March 2024.
Despite the setback, fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Jannik’s suspension concludes before the commencement of the French Open on May 25, ensuring his participation in the Grand Slam event.
This timing means Jannik will miss several key tournaments, including the Masters 1000 events in Indian Wells, Miami, Monte Carlo, and Madrid, but will return in time for the peak of the clay-court season.
