Tennis legend Martina Navratilova, 67, and her partner, former model Julia Lemigova, 52, have adopted two young boys, the star’s agent Mary Greenham has told the PA news agency.
Martina and Julia have been married since December 2014 and have previously spoken about their desire to adopt. On season five of The Real Housewives of Miami that she appears on, Julia announced that she and Martina were planning to adopt, but their plans were paused when Martina was diagnosed with Stage 1 throat and early stage breast cancer in 2022.
In December 2023 after Martina was declared cancer free, Julia told Page Six: “Our adoption plans were on hold, but we’re still not closing the door on those plans.” Earlier that year, Martina had told Piers Morgan in an interview that she thought adoption was unlikely following her cancer treatment.
