The creator and showrunner of Tell Me Lies, Meaghan Oppenheimer, recently gave an update on the series after the season 2 finale.

Spoiler alert if you have not watched the final episode of the second season! Keep reading to find out more… If you watched the finale, you’ll know that Bree and Oliver’s relationship ends, and she finds out that he’s actually in an open marriage with his wife. Meaghan addressed is if Tom Ellis – Oliver – would return for a potential third season.

She shared with Variety, “I don’t think so. I think Tom was just wanting to do one season. I think that we wrapped up his storyline in a way that really worked for me.

I don’t know where else we would go after that with him. I think we could bring Marianne back, maybe. There’s a lot more story to tell with her.
