Two teenagers have been remanded in custody following an appearance in court charged with the murder of 16-year-old Brianna Ghey.
The boy and girl, both 15, were in the dock at Chester Magistrates' Court this morning (Wednesday, February 15). Brianna, 16, from Birchwood in Warrington, was found with stab wounds at Culcheth Linear Park in the Cheshire town on Saturday afternoon (February 11).
She was sadly declared dead at the scene. The two teenagers accused of Brianna's murder cannot be named for legal reasons. Neither were required to enter a plea to the charge. They were supported by their parents in court, flanked by a dock officer. Prosecutor Leanne Gallagher gave brief details of the case as the two suspects - who appeared separately in the dock - watched on.
