Teenager Oliver Liddle, who had his leg amputated after a rugby tackle led to the discovery of aggressive bone cancer, has learned to "stay positive whatever life throws at you".

Now 19 and working as a full-time gym instructor, Oliver lives in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, with his father Steve, 49, stepmother Abby, 42, brother Max, 22, and stepbrother Louis, 10.

Oliver, who always had a passion for sports like athletics and football, was only 12 when a routine rugby tackle resulted in a persistent pain in his leg, followed by a lump on his knee.
