Police say the attack was a planned hit. The 17-year-old victim was outside The Lounge Bar, in South Road, Waterloo, Liverpool, when a would-be assassin shot him in the stomach and leg, reports the Echo.
Merseyside Police say he is in a critical condition. Emergency services were called shortly after 11pm, on Friday, July 2, and the boy was rushed to hospital.
This is the second shooting in two days in the region after Paddy Boyle, 26, was shot dead in Page Moss on Thursday, July 1st.
