A teenage rapist who turned up late at house parties to prey on vulnerable schoolgirls was ordered to be detained for five years.

Jordan Pearson raped two drunken 13-year-old girls he targeted at addresses in Dundee. At the High Court in Edinburgh Judge Alison Stirling told Pearson: “Your game plan was to arrive late at parties and see who was young and drunk.” She added there was little interaction with them before they were taken to a bedroom for sex.

The court heard that first offender Pearson, now aged 20, was 17 at the time. He had denied a series of charges at an earlier trial but was found guilty of raping the teenagers in 2018 and 2019.Pearson was also convicted of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl who he tried to kiss at a house in the city in August 2019 and having illegal sexual intercourse with another under-age 13-year-old girl in Dundee in 2019.

The court heard that Pearson, formerly of Dundee, continued to deny responsibility for the offences. The judge noted he had been diagnosed with ADHD and had misused cannabis and drink, but now did not drink.
