The team behind Greater Manchester pub The Black Friar have announced they will be opening a new neighbourhood café next month.
Leo and Roobs will open within the Blackfriars area, near to Deansgate, and will serve artisanal coffee and juices as well as a host of contemporary brunch and lunch dishes, including stacked breakfasts and house-baked crumpets.
Named after owner Neil Burke’s two children, the Salford café will have a family-friendly atmosphere with a menu created by head chef Morgan Lane, who previously worked at Pot Kettle Black. Opening on June 10, Leo and Roobs will serve up delights including summer salads, wraps and toasties using local and high-quality ingredients, with a focus on fresh and healthy comfort options.
